Concrete algae protection and self-cleaning

Office, Kyushu River Program Saga Branch

Sagan Coat was applied to the management office of the Kyushu River Program (in Saga city, Saga Prefecture). Application included a undercoat of ConcreteTEC with a topcoat of BasicTEC over. Total area of application is about 2404 metres square, mostly the walls and roofs of the administrative buildings. Above shows the difference in surface aesthetics between the Sagan Coated walls and a place-marker erected outside the compound which was uncoated. Coated surfaces were clean and without marks/molds of any sort. Uncoated areas had green moss growing and an abundance of water marks which covered the placeholder in a dirty-greenish-grey colour. ConcreteTEC and BasicTEC could still be seen to be working effectively after more than 10 years!

Self Cleaning

Sentosa Village Hotel by Far East Organisation

Sentosa Village Hotel is Far East Organisation’s newest mid tier hotel right at the footstep of Singapore’s iconic Merlion. Visitors heading to the Imbiah Lookout can consider putting up at the Village Hotel just 5 minutes away. In this project, Sagan Coat is used to prevent staining and paint damage of the escalator shell by the elements. It’s beauty and flawless white will ensure guests feel very much at home for a long time to come.

Solar Panel Coating to increase energy generation efficiency

Solar panel maintenance can be a real pain in the neck. However, Sagan Coat’s Newest Coating Solution developed specially for Solar Panels is here to revolutionise the way we use solar panels. Have a Mural that can't withstand the harsh elements? UV-degradation is common for outdoor murals which lead to paint dullness and eventual discolouration. Sagan Coat is a perfect remedy for protecting outdoor artwork from dirtiness and damage. This mural has been coated with undercoat PrimerTEC and topcoat BasicTEC.

Self-cleaning Cladding

The cladding on the right side is coated with Sagan coat WaterTEC and the left side is not. Mud was then thrown on both sides and left under rain and shine. You can see the difference Sagan coat makes on the surface! Sagan coat's decomposition and hydrophilic powers will be all you ever need for your facade.

Anti-microbial

Karatsu East School, Saga Prefecture

Sagan Coat was applied to the classroom walls of Karatsu East School in Saga Prefecture following a particular bad bout of flu being spread in the school compounds. The school was kind enough to allow a long-term study on the effects of applying Sagan Coat. The effects were shown to be overwhelmingly positive. Microbial levels of the walls were minimized effectively after application of Sagan Coat, resulting in a relatively safer environment. Tests were done with an industry-standard ATP tester over a period of a few months. 

Deodorizing 

Kumamoto Airport, Smoking Rooms and Toilets

Sagan Coat was successfully applied to Kumamoto Airport smoking rooms and toilets for its deodorizing properties. For the smoking room, Sagan Coated surfaces help to decompose nitrogenous and sulphurous compounds as well minimize the odour of stale smoke after a long period of time. Sagan Coated toilets ensure that toilets remain relatively clean and fresh-smelling with a decreased amount of maintenance every day. Coated surfaces decompose organic compounds responsible for odour in both the smoking rooms and toilets.
